In this short video, you will get a walk-through of what the Ascension Retreat is, who it is for, and how the work unfolds in your body and soul.
If your body softens or your heart feels recognized as you watch, that is often the clearest signal that this space is for you.
What happens when you finally feel the emotions you've spent your whole life suppressing?
You carry shame, fear, and trauma, silently and unconsciously, stored deep in your body because you never learned to safely feel your emotions throughout your life.
Some days you push through it. You function and keep going.
Other days, the weight of it stops you entirely.
Either way, you go on searching for love, connection, and God, while unknowingly carrying the very thing that's been blocking you from all three.
But something happens when you are safely guided to feel these stored emotions.
They move out of your body.
And underneath everything you’ve been holding and are able to release, is one thing that was always there…
Love
Not love you have to earn, reach for, or find somewhere outside of yourself.
Love that is what you are.
Because you are not separate from Source.
You are not searching for God.
You come from God and you are God.
And this remembrance and love is amplified when:
You witness others in their healing and are witnessed in yours.
You see yourself reflected in others and realize we all come from the same place and we all come from Source.
And this makes each of us deserving of love.
This is the intention for the Ascension Retreat on May 8-10, 2026.
To create safe containers to feel deeply, release completely and ultimately receive love.
It’s a 2.5-day in-person experience in Boulder, Colorado, held in a small, intentional group so that every person is truly seen, felt, and supported.
Through breathwork, somatic practices, and the transformative power of healing in community, you will be safely guided to feel what your body has been holding onto, release blocks, and return to the love that is your truth.
Led by Jake Whan
A guide who has walked from anxiety, fear, and disconnection into a life rooted in God, purpose, and soul-aligned service, who now guides others through the same journey home.
The Ascension Retreat is a carefully held space where your system can begin to soften and unwind the patterns that keep you tense, busy, or quietly disconnected from God and your own body.
Through nervous-system-informed facilitation, somatic practices, and prayerful presence, you are gently guided to feel what has been waiting to be felt, and in doing so, returning to the truth of who you are: love.
A body that feels more settled, open, and responsive
A felt sense of God that is less fragile and more intimate
A renewed trust in your own inner yes and no
Somatic tools you can return to when life gets loud again
A new relationship with your emotions, not as something to suppress, but as the path home to yourself
A carefully paced, two-and-a-half day live experience designed to move you from conceptual insight into embodied, sustainable change.

Hear directly from those who brought their guarded hearts, tender stories, and hungry souls into this space.
It felt amazing to be held and guided and to feel the supportand the love. Just being with all these amazing people andjust knowing that you're not alone. Everyone is just so kindand the support and love here is just something that Ihaven't felt in a really long time. It felt like home. It was all just an all around amazing experience.
– Rachel Rowley, Utah
The moment that something truly shifted was during the Q&A. I brought up some of my history and how it's beenimpacting me recently. It was really a transformational experience.
– Steve Sapourn, Colorado
...my connection to God, how it was before and how it's now is completely the opposite than it was. Not being connected to my heart, to my body, and now I can truly sense the God in me, in each one of us that attended, or in each human being everywhere.
– Nik, Slovenia

JAKE WHAN
Visionary | Akashic Healer | Somatic Therapist | Breathwork Facilitator | Spiritual Guide
"Jake is fully present, comes from a space of pure love and authenticity, and welcomes every part of every being...seeing all beings as Creator. This creates resonance and full safety in the container and interpersonally." - Sarah S.
Jake Whan has spent the past decade working at the intersection of trauma-informed somatic practice, spiritual direction, and leadership development. His work has supported spiritual seekers, healers, therapists, founders, and artists in learning how to live in deeper relationship with God through bodies that once felt tense, guarded, or disconnected.
His approach is steady, precise, and deeply relational. Jake pays close attention to breath, micro-signals, and each person’s real-time capacity, creating a space where participants can open and process at a pace their nervous system can genuinely sustain. The work is never about pushing, but rather about helping the body rediscover safety and coherence from the inside out.
The Ascension Retreat emerged from years of witnessing how many thoughtful and spiritually attuned people still feel quietly alone within their own bodies. This container was created to offer a different experience - one where you are carefully guided, deeply supported, and not left to navigate the journey on your own.

It is completely normal to feel some hesitation about being in a group environment. The Ascension Retreat is designed to be a grounded and supportive place to begin feeling more comfortable in your own body and in shared space with others. Many of the practices are inward and reflective, including closed-eye breathwork and somatic exercises that allow you to stay connected to your own experience.
You are always invited to participate at the pace that feels right for you. Vulnerability naturally grows over the weekend as trust develops, but there is never pressure to share or open beyond what feels genuine. The group container is intentionally held to be respectful, supportive, and safe.
Throughout the retreat, we also explore practices that help expand your confidence in group settings. The intention is not only to help you feel at ease with others, but to nurture your ability to show up fully, trust yourself, and bring your unique gifts forward in the world.
Due to the intimate nature of our retreats, there are no refunds on payments.
If something unexpected arises that causes you the need to cancel, you can request to transfer your tuition to a future retreat up to 30 days before the retreat begins. Within 30 days, transfers are handled on a case-by-case basis with care for both of our capacities.
